Short story: Corrinna
Item
For me there's an absolute power in the cuppa, and the possibility that it brings in terms of kind of melt the ice, it can ease the tension that can be sometimes in the air where we’re meeting people for the first time especially when we've got such different life experiences, we don't know what to expect, and it can bring a lot of warmth, especially when people are maybe facing really hard, difficult, stressful times in their lives.
And it's just something that I've seen over the past, more than eight years that have been part of Poverty Truth Community and for me there's just an incredible ease and skill that Poverty Truth Community has created over time in terms of that capacity to build relationships, to create relationships, that allow for space allow for people to really feel that they matter, that they belong in this community and that it gives the opening of tough meaningful conversations to happen and that's through that, that's the journey for where change can really take place.
And they all begins with a cup of tea, so that is why I have that lovely image. And there we go!
