Browse community collages
As part of creating a digital archive, community members were invited to make paper quilts through the medium of collage, to enjoy an artistic and material way of assembling their individual and communal experiences, and to create art forms to front the archive. In assembling their paper quilt pieces, community members were invited to reflect on stand-out moments from their experiences with the Community, how being part of the Community feels, and how the Community has shaped their life experiences and opportunities.
Artist Jean McEwan assembled the pieces with care to form an overall design, using the sunburst motif to connect with The Poverty Truth Community’s logo.
On this page you can browse the collection of quilt blocks on their own, and view the assembled quilt.
