Hello Poverty Truth Community, it's Sandra here from the early days. I believe the second wave of the Commission as it was known then. What a good development to become the Poverty Truth Community. Over the time since it all began my most special memories are the one-to-one conversations I had with a woman called A. We’ve rather lost touch but vividly I recall an early meeting in a Costa when we got to know each other and discovered how much we had in common, and not how differently our lives have turned out.

We talked about school and education, two entirely different experiences we agreed, and among other things an interest in knitting. So that's my picture.

It's larger than life knitting and not very practical, and I chose it because A is larger than life, not always practical I think, but very creative, able to express ideas in innovative ways, using music, poetry, and dance in a really different approach that got her message over.

That's what sums up my Poverty Truth Community, taking the message and getting across whatever it is because it's based on reality, and truth, however it is expressed.

I hope to see you all soon.
